Below is the Pre-Season Workout Schedule. As you can see it is pretty comprehensive. There won’t be any solicited monitoring of the fitness program on my part or the parents. If players offer up information please listen and encourage, but don’t advise. Players are welcome to use this information as they see fit and tailor to their specific needs. Several of these activities may be used at the captains practices should they so chose.
I want to stress this training regimen is completely optional. Tryouts begin August 21st which allows plenty of time to improve wind, strength, and flexibility. Player accountability will help guide our team expectations and in a sense this is a test of commitment. Fitness is not most players favorite thing about soccer, but it is a pretty important part of the game. Let the fun begin!
